Remember the MAVEN space craft, NASA’s next mission to Mars that we talked about? The MAVEN is tasked with examining Mars’ atmosphere in hopes of finding clues about the water that was on Mars. The MAVEN can use many different kinds of sensitive instruments to detect temperature and other readings from high above the surface of the planet.
The Maven is quite large with a wingspan that is about 37 feet long. It is currently in the final stages of testing with preparation for launch near the end of this year. Check out the video below showing some of the cleanroom testing being done on the MAVEN.
