Last week marked another monument for private industry being used in space.  The Cygnus spacecraft was recently contracted to bring supplies to the International Space Station.  Cygnus is carrying close to 3,000 lbs of supplies that include science experiments, spare parts, crew provisions, and some special experiments that were created by students back on Earth.  Check out this great video of the spacecraft’s launch:
